The Mexican Independence Day joins Cabo!

Every year, all Mexicans we love to feel Mexicans! That is why it is very common that in September we put three-colored banners and flags everywhere and we highlight the joy with a traditional ¡Grito de la Independencia!

And what that means?

Everybody joins in a big ceremony on the night of September 15th, commonly where the government palace is located; and before the fireworks take place, all Mexicans scream a loud ¡Viva Mexico! Also the President say different phrases to scream for: to cheer for the Mexicans past heroes, and so on…

In Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo in the days prior to September 16th, are civic ceremonies in public squares (such as Plaza Leon Cota and Plaza Mijares) where they recite patriotic hymns, traditional songs, eat typical Mexican dishes and all kind of Mexican snacks that will be on every corner.

In the main avenues and in the center of the city, foreigners and locals will join the Mexican passion with traditional music, typical costumes, drinks, celebration articles and Mexican games.

Let´s go out and celebrate on this great holiday!

Each corner will be magical with the tricolor atmosphere. And of course you are invited to our Mexican Night in “Light House – Fire´s Kitchen” where with an accessible price you will have an excellent wine tasting with Mexican wines and drinks based on mezcal and tequila.

Remember you have the best view in Cabo San Lucas Marina from our hotel “Tesoro Resorts Los Cabos”
